This fragrance makes a statement combining rugged leather, warm spices and citrus touches. Its initial impressions come through in the top notes of hyssop and marjoram, which impart a sweet herbal smell, together with citron, bitter orange and saffron for a crisp complement. The heart notes express the rich and amber-infused fragrances of labdanum, Somalian frankincense, tolu balsam, black violet, Florentine orris root, osmanthus absolute and Sumatra benzoin. It finishes light, yet complex, with hints of cedar, cocoa, vanilla and leather. Menswear designer John Varvatos released this scent in 2016 as a follow-up to Dark Rebel Rider, reteaming with master perfumer Rodrigo Flores who trained in perfumery in Versailles. The bottle is wrapped in black leather complete with metallic zippers on each side, conjuring up images of motorcycle racing and pure rebellion.
