They were responsible for furnishing many of the new country houses being built or rebuilt in Ireland, such as Borris House, Co. Carlo and Lissadell, Co. Sligo. The majority of their work reflects contemporary English taste and the firm is recognised for the superb timbers employed and their high quality of workmanship which is often compared to Gillows of Lancaster and London.
